Lose to the Chargers? As If!
Mr. Doom and Gloom has left the building. Two days of mourning is long enough. Yes, these last two losses hurt, and yes the playoff hopes are now dimmed. But I’ve cheered for the Skins when they’ve played meaningless November games so you’re damn right I’ll be holding out hope right down to the bitter end. So with that in mind, screw the negatives. Lets take a positive approach to next week’s game.
Before a bye week, and the dismantling of the Bills, this was a team with question marks. They nearly got beat by the Jets. Yes, the Jets. And it was Brooks Bollinger, who came in and led them to with 7 yards of a win. Brooks Bollinger? Mark Brunell is Joe Montana in comparison. You’re telling me that beating JP Losman, and the Bills changes any of this?
Lets not forget that they are 1-2 against the NFC East. Heck, they are only 3-3 on the road. Antonio Gates is hurt and might miss the game. And you know what, who cares about Gates anyways. We’ve faced a bunch of good tight ends this year and shut them all down. And look at those receivers. None of them are deep threats, and everyone knows we do fine against the underneath stuff. If we can contain Tomlinson, why can’t we beat them?
Lets not forget this is a home game too, do you really think a Southern California team can handle a cold late November game in Washington. Having over 90,000 screaming fans messing with your offense can’t be easy. And I’m not even going to mention the time change.
Give it a rest San Diego. This one is a no-brainer. Bring on the Rams. And what’s this I’m hearing about Marc Bulger?
