You should know the drill by now. The Redskins haven’t lost since I started doing this, so it continues. Here is why the Redskins win against Seattle this week:
- Here are the rushing yards against Seattle by all the above average running teams they’ve played. See if you notice a trend (listed in order of the games played):
1. Jacksonville 119 yards
2. Atlanta 115 yards
3. Washington 141 yards
4. Dallas 164 yards
5. NY Giants 166 yards
- Strength of Schedule: Washington .539; Seattle .430
- Strength of Victory: Washington .500; Seattle .404
- Rested or Rusty? Seattle hasn’t played a game with any meaning since they played the Indianapolis B team on December 24th. They’ve played one good, full strength team (NY Giants) since November 1.
- Washington hasn’t lost to Seattle since 1998 (3-0)
- Seattle hasn’t won a playoff game since 1984
- Big bad Shaun Alexander last year in the playoffs against the ultra menacing (yes that is sarcasm) St. Louis defense: 15 carries, 40 yards, and 2.7 yards per carry.
- Big Bad Shaun Alexander in 2003 in the playoffs against the super stingy Green Bay defense: 20 carries, 45 yards, 2.3 yards per carry
- Seattle coach Mike Holmgren has lost 5 straight playoff games.
- Joe Gibbs playoff record is 17-5.
- Matt Hasselbeck has never beaten Washington or won a playoff game.
- It’s supposed to rain, so they won’t be able to tell when Sean Taylor spits.
- Seattle is the official town of choking teams: The 116 win 2001 Mariners not making the World Series, the top seeded Supersonics getting knocked out by the 8th seeded Denver Nuggets in 1994. Its time to add the Seahawks to the list.

OMG I hope you’re right! Go Washington Redskins! SUPER BOWL BABY!
It’s gonna be a really close game and I’m sure I’ll be cleaning up after the Redskins win - but man they can’t play like they did last week and hope god’s a fan of theirs. They need to come out strong and crush the opposition. They need to pressure Alexander and if possible, knock him out early.

YES! I don’t mean to gloat, but you all were dead wrong. I called Jackson’s huge game. I said the Hawks’ running defense was better than that of the Skins. Nice game, see you next year.
Next up: NFC Championship!

despite the terrible good luck for you guys, despite the injury intentions—like hitting our receivers in the back up the helmet with diving forearms—…we still won
we deserved it. sorry for the Redskins, good luck in the offseason, but Seattle deserved this…
this team is different…and nothing can take that away from us

Have fun in the offseason. You guys should think of drafting some offense instead of DB’s.
Give credit to Seattle we won witrhout the League MVP Shaun Alexander.

The Skins are one of my fave teams after the Hawks, but I just dealt with one of the all-time obnoxious fans in the history of mankind, which makes this Hawks W even sweeter.

wHAT YEAR WAS IT THAT THE SEAHAWKS NOCKED THE COWBOYS OUT OF THE PLAY OFFS. I am at work so a quick response would greatly be apprciated. thank you a fan
