Moss Updgraded to Probable, Vincent not expected to play

Jason LaConfora reports that Santana Moss has been upgraded to probable and is expected to play on Sunday. He’s made solid progress with his hamstring and feels he can play.

On the downside, Troy Vincent is not going to play against Carolina. His hamstring (this is the same injury that made Buffalo put him on IR earlier this year) has not healed enough to play. Its unknown whether Adam Archuleta or “Special Team ACE” Vernon Fox will get the start in his place (bet on Fox). The Hamstring of DOOM is also keeping David Patten out of the line-up for the 32435th straight week.

  • I have a significant background in exercise science, and I’m pretty certain that most hamstring injuries generally fall back on one main problem; Lack of gluteus development and/or strength.

Athletes at the professional level are usually in pinnacle shape, but sometimes they manage to make up for weaknesses with other muscles. In many cases, these athletes’ quadricep muscles overpower their hamstrings, and take the brunt. When an individual is put into a scenario where the hamstring must bear pressure, it folds.

These athletes need to perform functional movements utilizing their gluteus muscles as the general basis in order to gain better balance usage for locomotion and athletic functionality.
