Week 17 Redskins Transactions
There’s been a bit of roster tinkering heading into the season finale. As expected Shawn Springs has gone onto the IR with his broken shoulder blade (ouch). The Redskins also released CB Mike Rumph who was acquired earlier this year in exchange for Taylor Jacobs. To replace these two corners, the Skins promoted John Eubanks from the practice squad and signed Leigh Torrence as a free agent. Eubanks will wear number 34, while Torrence gets number 29.

I doubt it, but you never know. I suspect they’ll fall in the long line of corners who’ve filled in recently for the Skins: Dimitri Peterson (Patterson?), Garnell Wilds, Christian Morton, etc.

why diddn’t invest the money in champ bailey? we’d be paying big bucks, but at least he’s productive, unlike archuleta, and others.

“why diddn’t invest the money in champ bailey?”
Because Bailey had no interest in staying in DC and was about to be a FA.

steve,
i’m quite certain that you’re aware that money always talks. if we wanted him to stay, we could have managed it with an appropriate offer. don’t you think?
