TRR 2006 Report Cards - Derrick Frost
The report cards will be posted at about 4 per day for the next two weeks. We’ll start with special teams.
The Good: One of the most improved Redskins this year. Frost started the year booming punts left and right (49.3 avg in Sept). He’s becoming more and more adapt at keeping punts out of the end zone as he had 14 punts downed by the coverage units vs only 7 touchbacks. Frost had 27 punts land behind the 20 yard line. Closed the year strong with 7 punts within the 20 with no touchbacks in the last 3 games.
The Bad: Struggled in October and November with a net average of under 35 yards in both months (vs nearly 40 yards in Sept and Dec). Began the year handling kickoffs, but didn’t really take to the job. Still had a few of the Derrick Frost specials - a 20 yard shank that bounces another 15 yards to make his numbers look better than they should.
The Grade: B-
