Who to take at #6? Mock Draft Round-up

In anticipation of The Redskin Report 2007 Mock Draft coming sometime this weekend, here’s what some of the ‘experts’ are saying the Skins will do come draft day:

  • CBS Sportsline – Alan Branch – “Branch isn’t going to pressure the quarterback, but he’ll swallow up blockers at the point of attack and allow the linebackers to make more plays at the line of scrimmage instead of five yards down the field.”
  • Yahoo – Gaines Adams – “Creating pressure and forcing throws would provide the ‘Skins with an improved pass defense and likely force opposing teams into an increased number of turnovers in 2007.”
  • ESPN (Insider access) – Jamaal Anderson – “Anderson is the complete package physically and should capitalize on 13.5 sacks as a junior in 2006.”
  • Fox Sports – Alan Branch – “Branch is a beast in the middle, able to both stop the run and rush the passer. A wise pick, here.”
  • NFL Draft Countdown – Alan Branch – “A terrific talent with outstanding size (6-6, 331), Alan Branch is similar to John Henderson and is far and away the top defensive tackle available this year so adding him would provide the type of elite presence in the middle that they have been lacking.”

So who do you want the Skins to take this year?

ROLB,MLB,SS or more depth at corner. Although Alan Branch might be what they need to free up Carter and Daniels but Goldston did show he can be the one. SS and CB would be my picks.

It’s simple. Ask Cerrato who he would take… and then take someone else.

CORNER! CORNER! CORNER! if shawn springs or carlos rogers get hurt again another defensive performance like last years could happen. but if we could get a good free agent or trade for one then i would go for d-line. but until thqat happens i’m gonna stick with corner

    Trade 6th to New England for 24th & 28th

  5. Ryan in Raleigh

I dont think there’s a corner worthy of a #6 pick, so take Adams, maybe Branch, and then grab a CB in free agency. I think this will help our secondary. The reason our secondary got picked apart last season, was that there was NO pressure on opposing QB’s. Hell, trade for Bly too. Go Skins!

  6. jawayne in highland springs va

take laron landry get patrick kerney in fa
