I don't know a lot about Kendall, but Rotoworld mentioned that we should have one of the best guard tandems in the league with Kendall and Thomas, which sounds good to me. The main thing I hear Jets fans griping about Kendall is the fact the he's a terrible snapper which doesn't really matter here.

Actually, I'm underestimating Kendall here... he should be a bit MORE than adequate, by mid-late season, as he's probably a top 40% starting LOG (a bit better than average to begin with; bog average would have been "adequate" considering our needs). Question is how fast he can develop chemistry on the line with the other players, and how quick he can pick up the playbook.

4th or 5th pick in '09? That's a decent trade, if Kendall performs at a reliable level (his history says he should be adequate, but not so outstanding that we won't be still looking for an OG in the draft next year; he's probably got two-three good years in the tank, at 34 with some knee issues).

Thanks for the kudos, but it seemed obvious when the Jets announced they were trading a OG to an unnamed team. Who else has such a desperate need for a quality OG, has decent cap room (the 'Skins have CAP ROOM in August????) and a history of trading picks for immediate short term perceived needs (see T.J. Duckett, 2006). I think Kendall may be a better use of a pick than Duckett was, though.
