Todd Collins to start Saturday

Pending a miraculous recovery, Todd Collins will get the start on Saturday against the Ravens. Coach Gibbs warns not too look too deeply into this decision as this was the plan all along and Mark Brunell will be the 2nd (or starter depending on Campbell) against Jacksonville in the pre-season finale. This of course goes against what had been said previously when Gibbs said it was unknown who would start if Campbell was out.

You’d have to think this gives Collins the leg up in the back-up QB battle as he’ll get a chance to play with and against starters while Brunell will still be in there against 2nd and 3rd stringers. But Mark Brunell is a lot like a horror movie villain, he doesn’t go down easily.

  • no more Brunell please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Palmer is the future. Brunell doesn’t need any preseason action. Cut Campbell and Collins on Tuesday. Play Palmer the whole game on Thur. and then start Brunell on week 1. Maybe work Palmer in by week 5 before the season in lost.
