That's a BIG shocker, biggest of the preseason for the Redskins, as Salvae'e was looking to be the number one DT off the bench; that means he'd play about 30% of the plays from scrimmage. WOW! I can't believe he won't land somewhere quick, though, as a lot of teams need depth there. Could this be a Salary Cap move prelude to signing Cooley to a long contract? Butler is the big surprise to me; I expected that he would be useful depth at DB for the Redskins, and had (in the past) been effective on special teams (Kickoff coverage, especially). Gibbs has always tended to keep the good special teams players a little longer. Of the others, Jones is moderately notable, as he got a few long looks with the second team LBs, but that's all, and some people thought that Shaw would end up being a late cut/practice squad player; he still might end up on the practice squad down the road, though.
