Jason Campbell: NFC Offensive Player of the Week

After a career best game on Sunday, Jason Campbell has been named NFC Offensive Player of the Week according to redskins.com.

Campbell was 23 for 29 passing for 248 yards and 2 touchdown throws. Making the performance more impressive was the fact the Redskins were missing top receiver Santana Moss for the entire game and 2nd wide-out Antwaan Randle-El left the game in the 2nd quarter. Campbell completed passes to 8 different receivers including 3 who had no catches coming into the game.

Congrats to Jason Campbell on his first of hopefully many NFL honors.

UPDATE: The last Redskin QB to win the NFC player of the week? Shane Matthews in 2002.

BallHype: hype it up!
