Pigskin Pick’em Week 9 Results!
Welcome back, Pigskin Pick’em players, and welcome to the Week 9 results. Well, the season is now over half over, by time (although there are just slightly more than half the games left to play), and there is a new sheriff in town in the Pigskin Pick’em… but we’ll get to that in a moment. First, Weekly Kudos go to R.F. with a 13 (out of 14) week; most players did quite well, with quite a few 11s in there.
Upset Pick of the week is hard to choose this week; however, I’m going to have to go with the Minnesota Petersons over the San Diego Chargers, simply because how can anyone not choose Adrian Peterson as the Rookie of the Year (and maybe the decade) at the moment? Correctly predicting the Chargers fall to the mighty Vikings were S K, N. Magee, K. Terminella, P. Pottberg, B. Pierson, and E. Liu; Kudos to all of you for that pick!
And now, in the “Careful what you wish for department”, there is a new top dog for the Season at the top of the leader board, A. Fishman. He’s replaced me as the Season Leader with 86 points to my 85. Closely following, though, are Jon Martin (84), D. Buss and WeWantDallas at 82, John Sawyer, S. Michael Young, and M. Edmonds, all at 80. That means that it’s only single bad week (like I had this week; too many stretches that ended up beating the spread, but losing the game for me) separates any of them from first place. No one is out of the game yet, either, as anyone could make that move with a few sustained excellent weeks. Season Props to A.Fishman, and don’t forget to make your picks this week!
