The Redskin Report

Welcome back to another week of the Pigskin Pick’em, this week, bemoaning the loss of our beloved Redskins to the Philadelphia Eagles in a close game.  Dispensing with banter, due to the nature of our loss, it’s time to give out the Weekly Kudos, Upset Pick of the Week Kudos, and of course the Season Props for this week.

 Weekly Kudos go to D. Buss and D. Wagner this week, with an uncharacteristically poor 8 of 14; these guys at least had winning weeks, while most didn’t even have .500 weeks.  Even as bad as this week was, though, only a handful are going to have this as their drop week, as most people either tied or barely beat the near apocalyptic crash of Week 4.

 Upset Pick of the Week Kudos are hard to choose, when so many games were upsets; however, in this case, I’ll choose one that was almost universally picked wrong.  Upset Pick of the Week Kudos to Lee Gibbons, for predicting Jacksonville’s triumph over Tennessee; that was one I was leaning towards, and I wish I’d gone with my gut there.  Lee was the only one to predict such a finish.

 Last week, A. Fishman took over the Season Props by having a good week where I had a subpar; although both had subpar weeks again, he stretched out that lead to 2 games as he earns his second consecutive Season Props this week, for his 93 points;  Jon Martin also gained this week, and is now tied with me for second, with 91.  I told you I tended to fade in the middle part of the season!

Keep picking folks; it only takes one apocalyptic week like Week 4 or this week, where you pick well when everyone else doesn’t, to go from worst to contender in this game!
