Fourth and Inches

This seems to be a big deal today as fans look for someone or something to blame. It was a gutsy call, but honestly if you can’t make a 4th and one inch after you’ve moved up and down the field with ease the entire 2nd half, then its the player’s fault not the coaches. I blame Gibbs for a lot of things, being too conservative with his play calling, ridiculous challenges, time management issues, but this one shouldn’t be pinned on him. The left side of the line is paid a lot of cash. Rabach, Kendell and Samuels should be able to get us one freaking inch.

The coaches were fine yesterday. The Redskins made a good defensive adjustment to completely shut the Bucs down and the offensive game plan was sound. The challenge wasn’t smart but understandable considering how things were going and really made no difference in the long run. The players blew this game by turning the ball over SIX FREAKING TIMES, not Joe Gibbs. Go find another scapegoat this week.
