RIP: Sean Taylor

** Image from Hail Redskins**
Sean Taylor succumbed to his injuries early this morning and has died. He was 24. Taylor was engaged to be married and leaves behind an 18 month old daughter. Our thoughts go out to Taylor’s family, friends and his teammates.
Terrible news.
Personally I’m in shock. I just went to YouTube and pulled up some videos of Taylor and its hard to imagine he’s gone. We’ve all heard of previous athlete deaths, but when it happens on your favorite team it hits home. None of us (I assume) knew Taylor, we just watched him play in the uniform of our team. Who knows if we’ll ever know what really happened that night and to me while it adds to the tragedy, it doesn’t really matter. We lost one of our guys and it hurts.
Feel free to leave your thoughts and memories on Taylor in the comments.

It breaks my heart. The animosity and incivility in the world that would leave us with such a tragedy like this. Our thoughts and prayers go out to your wife and young daughter, your father and mother, all your family and friends. Sean Taylor you will forever be missed. The way you prowled the secondary and delivered those jaw crushing blows that we all know an loved. Missed but always remembered. RIP #21.

Redskin fans,
what a sad,sad day!!! On the field we lost not only our best player,
but one of the best in the NFL. He was probably the best free safety
in the league already and he was only going to get better. Like you I
will miss his bone-shattering hits and the way he patrolled the deep
zones on the field. Anytime he got an INT or a fumble recovery it was
exciting to anticipate what he might do with the ball in his hands.
Probably except for QB he would have excelled at any position given
the opportunity. It’s not often we could brag about having a #1 player
at any position but he was the man.
After the mourning period has passed and things return to normal, you
can bet there will be many wide receivers who will sleep better at
night knowing Taylor wont be there when they go across the middle.
What a tragic loss!.

This is a very tragic loss of one the best true football players in the NFL. I’m a Raider fan, but i am more a football fan and i can appreciate the passion, the way Sean Taylor played the game. I really enjoyed the highlight of reels of him “laying some hat” on opposing players. He will be greatly missed. R.I.P Sean Taylor

I’m still waiting to wake up, see that it’s Sunday morning and this is a dream; I mean, how often is one of the best players in a major league murdered in his own home? Somehow, this just seems so unreal.
RIP Sean. You earned another Pro Bowl this year, and you now a Redskin Legend, one of the Greatest Redskins. You were the only sure-fire FHoF on the roster; now, Canton will never know you.

Sean Taylor was one of the best players I have ever seen play. He played with such passion and so much heart. He truley left it all on the field. He will always be remembered as one of the hardest hiters in the NFL.
RIP Sean. You will be REMEMBERED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Time has passed on to a new decade and you are still very much missed. I salute one of the most talented to ever have not only played the game of football but also being one of the “Realist (Never. Ignorant. Getting. Goals. Accomplished.) Niggas”
