If Wilbon had taken to time to read the paper he works for, he would have seen past articles where:

1. the prosecutor in the felony case said that they did not have evidence of Sean having a gun and that's why the charges were reduced. He went to the place where he thought his stolen ATV was - the same thing 2 DC police officers did a few months ago when they ended up killing a teen;
2. the judge in the DWI case said there was no probable cause to arrest Mr. Taylor when those charges were thrown out.

In all the reporting, I have seen a lot of hyperbole, but no facts to support the allegation that this man was some type of gangsta thug. Wilbon's article said that Sean couldn't leave the gangsta neighborhood alone - he paid $900k for his home. Does the neighborhood become thuggish by virtue of the fact that a black person moves in?

He owes DC, Redskins fans, and most importantly - Mr. Taylor's family an apology.

I'm thinking of writing the ombudsman to complain.
