The Redskin Report has learned that a new leading candidate has emerged for the Washington Redskins head coaching spot. Various NFL sources have confirmed the Redskins have interviewed and Daniel Snyder was blown away by this candidate’s ability to listen and follow orders. Meet the new coaching candidate:
In a shocking move, the Redskins appear close to hiring Kermit the Frog as the new head coach. Snyder was very impressed by how Kermit agreed with everything Snyder suggested and in fact didn’t seem to be able to move unless Snyder pulled on his strings. I’m told that Kermit nodded enthusiastically when told of the decision to hire Jim Zorn as the new offensive coordinator. We have not yet been able to confirm whether or not Gonzo has been interviewed to replace Gregg Williams as the leader of the defense.

Lee, I can confirm that Dan Snyder is deep in talks with certain central Florida executives about the possibility of acquiring the right to negotiate with a certain person in regards to the DC position. For privacy reasons, I can only mention that “MM” would have to give up his long time lucrative position, but that he would bring along a group that he has worked with for a prolonged period, including “DD” and “G”. “DD” is tentatively slated to be the Linebackers coach, while “G” would be the Defensive Backfield coach.
When asked to comment, Redskin Cornerback Fred Smoot replied that the whole situation, especially the choice of coaches, was “Just Goofy. It was really turning into a Mickey Mouse operation.” He also indicated that he no longer felt like he had “Come home”, and was hoping to go back to Minnesota, where there was at least a prayer of eventually having a competent management structure in place.
