I haven’t been perusing the message boards yet today, but I expect there is a pretty big ‘Hire Steve Spagnuolo’ bandwagon now. That was a great defensive game by the Giants and they shocked the hell out of me by holding the Patriots to only 14 points. I would fully support hiring Spagnuolo but you have to wonder if he’d want to come to Washington considering he’s a defensive guy and we have already promoted Greg Blache to run the defense.
Spagnuolo is expected to be the last candidate interviewed by the Redskins. It is scheduled to interview in the next few days. He joins Jim Fassel, Steve Marucci and Ron Meeks as coaches still in the running for the job.
