How Rumors Get Started

An agent, stuck dealing with an unhappy client who wants to be moved, starts whispering a bit too loudly about team’s who could use his client in an attempt to drum up some interest around the league.
A reporter, realizing he needs to produce a column and quickly understanding the combine just isn’t very exciting, bites on the bait thrown out by the agent.
And POW – you suddenly are hearing that the Washington Redskins are interesting in DeAngelo Hall.
The Redskins have a reputation for making trades for veteran big name players, so agents use it to their advantage. Reporters, on the off chance the story is true, don’t want to miss out on the scoop, so the story is printed and the rumor grows a life of its own.
This is the long-winding way of saying Hall isn’t coming to the Redskins. Now that Randy Moss to Dallas rumor….

Just hang on..may not be too far fetched. But given..there will be plenty of things to come. Any chance we get a QB?

Forget Moss to Dallas, too… I’ll be very surprised to see that one.
Again, I’ll reiterate it here: the only “Name” player out there that I can see the Redskins taking a shot at is Donte Stallworth…. because they can potentially squeeze his contract to off an cap year, and he’ll probably be a (relative) bargain for a”top” WR.

Stallworth is an interesting option, although he’s pretty similar to Moss in that he’s more a deep threat than a big possession guy.
