Redskins Schedule Visits with Demps, Johnson
The Washington Redskins front office has returned to the office after taking the weekend off and have scheduled their first two visits of this off-season.
Safety Will Demps was the first player reported to be visiting Washington. Demps spent the first four years of his career with the Baltimore Ravens. Since that time he’s spent single seasons with both the New York Giants and Houston Texans. He’d be expected to compete with Reed Doughty for the starting safety spot opposite LaRon Landy if he were to sign with the Redskins.
Although I haven’t seen this reported elsewhere in Redskins land, Bryant Johnson also appears set to visit with the Redskins according to this report from a Buffalo reporter who talked with Johnson. Johnson, a taller receiver, would seemingly be a good fit with the Redskins. He’s spent his entire career with the Arizona Cardinals and had a career high 48 catches last year.

Both rumors about Demps or Johnson visiting are false. It’s been cleared up yesterday by Andyman and was also refuted by Larry Michael on his show.

Who knows what’s true or not, but both Andyman and Michael work for the Redskins, so if they don’t want to get word out of what they are doing those guys aren’t going to reveal anything.
That isn’t to say you are wrong, just that I believe those guys when they confirm or report a signing or move, but when they deny visits and rumors, it could just be a smokescreen.

Demps has re-signed with Houston.. so scratch him from the list and score one for Andyman.
