Hackett to Visit?
I put the question mark in the title as most reports of visitors have been false to date, but the Washington Times’ Redskins 360 blog is reporting that DJ Hackett is coming to visit Redskins Park on Wednesday.
Hackett, a free agent from the Seattle Seahawks, was a player the Redskins were expected to pursue as new head coach, Jim Zorn, was familiar with him and he would fill the ‘big’ receiver (he’s listed at 6′2) spot. Hackett is not an elite player by any stretch with a career high of only 45 receptions. He has scored 9 regular season touchdowns in his career and is probably most familar to Redskins fans for scoring the go-ahead touchdown in Seattle’s wild card game victory over Washington.
