I’m pleased to announce that The Redskin Report has officially joined the Yardbarker Blog Network. What is Yardbarker you ask? From their ‘about us page’:
Yardbarker breaks down traditional barriers, allowing fans and athletes to debate sports, read and write articles, and watch videos. In the Yard, even the famous athletes are treated like fans.
We feature thousands of sports websites and blogs, so you’ll get news, rumors, photos and videos that you won’t find elsewhere. We make it easier to follow your favorite teams, talk sports, and submit links to interesting articles found elsewhere on the web.
Yardbarker also hosts many athlete’s blogs. Looking at the most recently updated list, Baron Davis, Greg Oden, Dontrelle Willis and Donovan McNabb have updated their blogs in the past few days.
For regular readers you shouldn’t notice much difference to the site. There is a new Yardbarker widget over in the sidebar which links to the most interesting articles on the network. You may also notice a few new advertisers, but nothing earth shattering. The hope is that joining Yardbarker will increase the reach and readership of The Redskin Report. They don’t have any influence of what we write, so yes, we can still rip on Donovan McNabb if we want.
Yardbarker also offers an interactive news page, where you can “bark” (vote) for interesting stories and get them promoted to more readers. To bark for one of our articles here, just click the ‘Bark it Up’ button after every post and your vote will count.
