And now Cambell is gone, to. Oh, this trade was BRILLIANT. We're getting nothing compared to what we could have had in our areas of need.

FIRE CERRATO NOW. And Zorn; that's the only reason we picked a TE before a DL, OL, and DB.

Oh, man, I do NOT like the pick at #48. There is no way, with Cooley, that we needed another TE.

I'm suddenly thinking we may go Cambell at 48 and Brohm (future #2 QB) at 51.

Just saying....

FYI - From the draft chart:

We gave up:

#21 (800)
#84 (170)
#154 (29.8)

TOTAL = 999.8

We got:

#34 (560)
#48 (420)
#103 (88)

TOTAL = 1068

So according to the 'chart' we came out ahead.

Regarding Merling, I keep hearing he's a Phillip Daniels type of guy. Daniels is fine, but I don't know if you go out of your way to pick a non-pass rusher.

I'm surprised that Thomas fell that far down. Most mock drafts I looked at had him going #13 to Buffalo. I just threw up a video if anyone wants to take a look.

Devon Thomas? Ok, I'm hearing "One Year Wonder", that's not good. Obviously, we're about to choose a DE next. Cambell is still out there, and we choose again at 48.

Ok, now that the Jets have picked, we ARE going to have the opportunity to draft one of the players on our board:

Kelly and Sweed are both still in play, as are Merling and Cambell. That said, three of the four COULD go.... but at least one is still there for the 'Skins at 34 at this point.

While we're waiting for #34, there are a LOT of trades going on late in the round... the 49ers trading with the Jets may indeed have Merling falling to #34; if we still get him there (or if he's still available, but we choose someone else), then it's a good trade.

We got absoloutely robbed, terrible trade IMO. Unless of course a pick next year has not yet been announced. Could someone be around still come the ATL pick, probably...but speaking in terms of VALUE we didn't do well.
