Davis Signs, No Holdouts for Training Camp
Jump to Comments
Fred Davis got out of bed long enough today to agree to financial terms with the Washington Redskins. Redskins Insider reports that the deal is for four years, 3.5 million with 1.8 in bonus dollars, which is pretty well what was expected. To make room for Davis on the roster, the team has released tight end/injury machine Tyler Ecker.
Training camp beings tomorrow (Sunday July 19th) at 8:30am.

Lovely. I believe this may be one of the few times in the Dan Snyder years where we’ll have no holdouts or unsigned rookies.
Of course, Fred didn’t have a lot of choice, really. He’s playing behind one of the best TEs in the league, he’s obviously slotted, and he’s got a couple of blackmarks on him already for the training camp fiasco. If he wanted a nice long career, he needed to be there at 8:30 am with a spring in his step and a smile on his face.
So now all the tools are in place. Now, tomorrow, we start the long 6 months season. Hopefully, our season will last the whole 6, and not end at the 5 month mark!
