I only saw the last five minutes of the game (Colt Brennan's furious finish, and the Jets fatal drive for a would-be tieing FG), but one thing I >DIDN'T< see during the broadcast Saturday, I saw on Sunday.... the final Jets pass to the wide open WR that was dropped in the End Zone wasn't clean; someone got a mitt on the ball and deflected it (slightly, but enough that the deflection is almost certainly the cause of the drop). I didn't hear Joey T. make mention of it, but in a drive where I'm ticking off the numbers of the young players who had just played themselves into Bag Boy status in a week, it's interesting to see someone got their hand on the ball... I wonder if that heads-up play (I couldn't get the number, and the broadcast didn't reshow it) might just have saved a Special Teams spot for some lucky UDFA. Or not..... after all, there are only 53 spots to go around, and with a draft class of 10, it's already stretching the roster to get everyone onto the team. You can't put a Chris Horton on the Practice Squad, for example, and barring injury, at least 9 of 10 (and to be brutally honest, probably all 10; sorry, Frosty!) will be on the roster to travel to the Meadowlands in a few weeks.
