Pigskin Pick’em Week 3 Results!

After another great win by the Redskins, we’re facing Dallas Week with some confidence.  We’re also facing week 3’s Redskin Report Pigskin Pick’em results.  So, here’s this weeks Kudos and Props.

We’re going to start backward; this week I’m going to give the Kudos out for Upset Pick of the Week.  In true Highlander tradition, “There Can Be Only One”.  And one it is, the first regular season loss by the New England Patriots since 2006, losing to the Miami Dolphins (who only won once last season, and have only won once this season, so far, as well).  Who would have thought?  And especially, who would have thought the game would be so totally lopsided?  Well, one player did, Maroon & Yellow Fever.  That might have been the upset pick of the YEAR.  Kudos for the pick!

The Pigskin Pick’em contest is won one week at a time….. and this week, the top players were able to gather in an outstanding 13 points.  Props therefore go out to theofilidies, dr WNC, BigGay, and 22209.  Props where they are due to these four.  A lot of folks were able to get 12, but it too just that little extra to get the props this week!

Finally, it’s time for the first Season Props of the 2008 season.  Season Props represent who’s actually winning at this point, and are a mark of sustained achievement; you don’t ever have to be the weekly winner, just stay in the hunt.  With three prizes to win this year, at least three players will always get Season Props from this point on.  So, without further ado (drum roll, please) our first Season Prop goes out to chris horton hears a who, with 24 points, averaging 12 per week.  Close behind, with23 points each (but in order of the strength of their dropped week) are Sundayisforfootball, 22209, BigGay, Theofilidies, and TheDudesRug.   There are a number of further folks tied at 21 who are also in easy striking distance of the top, so keep working hard!  Props to our season leaders, though, at this point, as we head into Dallas and week 4!

For those who are slightly off this blistering pace, it’s still VERY early in the season, and no one is out of it yet.  Remember that last year’s winner slogged from a fairly poor start to run away with the contest in the final week (beating the runner up by two games, when even the runner up was one of the top 200 out of over 200,000 players, and came in 13th NATIONWIDE…)  so it’s still VERY early in the season, and anyone can win, so Get in it to Win it!
